BROOKLYN, N.Y.—SW24, a New York-based security services company, has signed on to become the first-ever presenting sponsor of the Brooklyn Nets and the team's exclusive security partner.
The deal, announced Sept. 16, provides SW24 with courtside advertising presence and exposure in publications, at some checkpoints and on radio broadcasts. “SW24 has a tremendous commitment to safety and service, which are our top priorities at the Brooklyn Nets. Everywhere the Nets brand goes, so will SW24,” said Brett Yormark, CEO of the Nets and the Barclays Center.
At the end of each Nets win, one player will be named “SW24 Lockdown Defender of the Game,” with one defender of the year named at the season's end. SW24 will honor a member of the military or a New York-area first responder during a dedicated timeout in each regular-season home game.
“We are entering into our 10th year as one of the leading security services providers in the country and our roots are here,” said Desmond Smyth, founder and president of SW24. “New York City is in our blood, so this new relationship with one of the best teams in basketball is going to help form a solid foundation for SW24's service to Brooklyn and our entire city.”
