BURNABY, British Columbia—Viscount Systems' Freedom access control technology is being installed by a regional bank with operations in Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky, according to a company statement.
The systems include Freedom IP bridges, servers and software. They will be deployed as a retrofit, replacing the bank's existing access control systems.
In the statement, Viscount CEO and President Stephen Pineau said the upgrade represents the first deployment of Freedom in the financial services sector.
“While we are continuing to make great inroads within the U.S. federal government market, sales of Freedom to a wide range of other vertical markets, including banking, schools and multi-tenant high rises, are also increasing,” Pineau said.
