Washington Alarm sponsors school shooter presentation

SEATTLE–On March 18 and 19, Washington Alarm is hosting a “Must Attend Safety and Security Forum” for all school district security and risk management managers at its offices here.
Speakers includes Capt. Rick Tustin with the Winchester, Mass. fire department and Sgt. Daniel Perenick with the Winchester, Mass. police department, who are presenting their Active School Shooters program and discussing their School Threat Assessment and Response System aka “STARS.”
In conjunction with the program, Washington Alarm will present the Electronic Security Association white paper, “Electronic Security Guidelines for Schools” which provides a roadmap for districts to assess threats, funding considerations, cultural considerations and selecting contractors and electronic systems.
Established in 1943, Washington Alarm offers security, fire, video and access control systems. It works with both commercial and residential customers. In addition to installation, service and inspections, Washington Alarm also has a 24/7 monitoring station.
