Siminoff stepping down at Ring, to be replaced by Hamren

SANTA MONICA, Calif. – Only five years after its acquisition by Amazon for $1 billion, Ring CEO Jamie Siminoff is stepping down.
In a blog post on Ring’s website the CEO discussed his departure which will take place on March 22. Siminoff founded the company in 2013 as Doorbot. The company was crowdfunded and raised an initial $364,000, more than the requested amount of $250,000. Security system video of Zimmerman altercation emerges

LAKE MARY, Fla.—Video from a home security system may help police investigating a recent alleged domestic altercation between George Zimmerman, the former Florida neighborhood watchman recently acquitted of the murder of Trayvon Martin, and his estranged wife, Shellie. The surveillance system recorded footage of George Zimmerman throwing an iPad to the ground.
