NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Honeywell won multiple honors at the Electronic Security Expo (ESX), including the conference's top award in the Maximum Impact Awards competition, the company announced today.
Honeywell's LYNX Touch 7000 Control System was the big winner at ESX, held here June 23-26, according to a Honeywell The Security Channel blog post by David Gottlieb, Honeywell global marketing communications leader. The LYNX Touch 7000 won not only the “Best in Show” award, but won in the “Best alarm equipment wireless” category as well.
Gottlieb noted, “The big picture for the LYNX Touch 7000 goes well beyond its impressive 7-inch touchscreen. It also boasts video viewing for up to four cameras, Z-Wave automation, and advanced communications capabilities that include two-way voice over GSM and Wi-Fi. LYNX Touch 7000 was also recognized in the 2014 Security Industry Association (SIA) New Product Showcase Awards when previewed at ISC West in April.”
The company also won for Best Home Automation System with its VISTA Automation Module (VAM).
“VAM makes it possible for VISTA systems, the world's most popular security control panel with a massive installed base of over 10 million, to be transformed into connected home systems. It creates an unprecedented opportunity to provide home automation and remote services to both existing and new VISTA systems,” Gottlieb wrote.
And Honeywell won for best Access Control System with its Net AXS-123 with EVL.
“Net AXS-123 with EVL is a web-based access control system using Ethernet virtual loop (EVL) technology that broadens the market by providing simple, scalable and affordable access control to small and mid-size businesses,” Gottlieb said in his post.
